Join Dennis Kucinich & Demand Impeachment Hearings Now!

[by anonymous]

Dennis Kucinich is the only member of Congress who had the personal courage and the profound respect for our Constitution to stand on the floor of the House of Representatives and exercise his right and his responsibility to bring Articles of Impeachment against President George W. Bush.
While The Bush-Cheney Administration continues along its destructive path - in documented violation of national and international law - the Democratic leadership has failed to assume its Constitutional authority and mandate as a co-equal branch of government to hold the Executive Branch accountable for failing to preserve, protect and defend the rights of the American people.
Support Congressman Kucinich in his bold initiative to restore the rule of law. Sign The Official Petition for Impeachment and Dennis will personally deliver it to your Congressman!

I can't disagree more with this item, so I do not want to be associated with it. It is a wrongheaded tactic.

  2. I have to agree with Joel as far as this tactic goes. Seems like tilting at windmills to me.

Sometimes there are moments when it's important to take a principled stand even when it means fighting a battle that cannot be won, especially when taking this stand can transform public discourse, change the stakes of debates, build organizing capacity, etc.

I definitely do NOT see this impeachment stuff coming at one of those moments.
