May Day: finding its way back home

I’ve always wanted a button that reads, “Workers of the world unite, back by popular demand” — almost as long as I’ve wanted one that says, “May Day, made in the USA.”

    It's interesting that you say that because as important as May Day is to the past, present and future of working class struggle in the US, it's become a truly revolutionary symbol in many Latin American countries such as Venezuela, where earlier today, Hugo Chavez celebrated May Day with the people of Venezuela by raising the minimum wage to what is now the highest in all of Latin America.

    Where was the CPUSA contingent in the ILWU and immigrant rights marches on the 1st in San Francisco?
