Washington Democrats: Microcosm of a Caucus

In Seattle, precinct 2000, 43rd district report:

In 2004 "maybe 20 people showed up." This year 130 people showed. The doors were supposed to close at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific), but because of the large crowd, things didn't get started until 2 p.m. "It was so crowded, and so hot." The result: 99 people backed Barack Obama, 26 people backed Hillary, while 5 people stuck to their guns with John Edwards. The Obama camp included the younger voters along with a cross-section of age groups, while older women appeared to comprised those who backed Clinton.
